Mission and Vision Statement

The mission of the OSU Institute of Technology Archives and Collections is to allow for public access to research holdings and is to serve as the depository for all records and materials documenting the history of school. The scope of collections materials includes departmental records, academic and administrative documents, official records and other materials related to the management, operations, and mission of Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology.  Other collected holdings represent selected and donated material focusing on the history of Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, its employees, and graduates. These materials range in format, from traditional records to maps, blueprints, photographs, audio/visual materials, and OSUIT ephemera. The bulk of the Archives’ collections are the photography collections and graphic collections.

Also found in the Archives are our Rare Books & Special Collections: rare and/ or out-of-print texts which have been gifted to the Archives by OSUIT lecturers, former departments, and friends of the library. Topics represented in this collection include Leatherwork, Saddlery, Jewelry Repair, and Horology.

OSUIT University Archives are currently housed within the Learning Commons. Please come by and ask us about browsing our archival displays in our exhibit room.
