Thingiverse - Social Media for 3D Printing
Thingiverse, a community created by 3D printer manufacturer Makerbot, adds a social aspect to sharing designs. You can follow specific designers, download and print the designs they've shared, or improve on existing designs to make your own.
YouMagine - Design Sharing
At this Ultimaker-based community, you can find designs by other Ultimaker users, read the blog and learn more about 3D printing and its community.
MiniFactory - 3D Printables
MyMinifactory offers a large range of downloadable 3D printable objects. Each object is original, unique, has been test printed and comes with a how-to section that explains how to achieve the best print.
Make Magazine
Make Magazine is a great resource for all things Maker, but their 3D printing section is especially helpful to see news about 3D printing, see what others are doing with their printers, and learn more about 3D printing overall.
