Hoopla is here!
The platform is simple, intuitive, and free to our faculty, staff and students.
There are no holds or waiting for titles; all content on the platform is available instantly, 24/7, with a multi-genre collection of 700,000+ titles and growing!
Hoopla is constantly adding new content from a diverse group of big names in publishing and entertainment, such as PBS, The Great Courses, DC, Marvel, Acorn, A&E, and more.
Our patrons can take hoopla to the big screen using Roku, FireTV, AppleTV, or Android TV, as well as enjoy music and audiobooks with hoopla on Amazon Alexa.
To register, please visit the Apple or Google Play store and download the hoopla digital app, or visit the Hoopla website and select our library from the list.
- Sign up by creating an account using an email and password of your choice.
- Next, search for “OSU Institute of Technology” to choose as your library.
- Enter your Okey short name for the Card Number and current O-Key password for the Pin Number, and click “Next”.
- *When you reset your O-Key password, make sure you change it in the hoopla settings as well.

Searching for articles with Databases
Searching for articles through a database instead of the world wide web will yield fact-based results and will save you time researching and sifting through misinformation and fake news. To access a database you can use FOLIO, our database aggregator which is a lot like google for our electronic resources. FOLIO doesn't search all of our databases however; so you may want to visit our A-Z List of databases and search them individually.
